Subject: Overactive Bladder


75 year old patient with complaint of overactive bladder and urinating every 20 minutes to 2 hours, with lots of urination. Pt has been having heavy urination with high frequency for 3 days. Slight irritation/burning at end of urination. Pt has no fever, chills, nausea, vomiting. No headache. Pt had some gait/mobility issue a week ago, but not anymore. No dementia. What is your top diagnostic. Pt treated with dutasteride and potassium citrate so far. Dutasteride to control bening prostatic hyperplasia. POtassium citrate to control kidney stone. What is your best diagnosis and plan based on history?

1. Overactive bladder/ spastic/ neurogenic bladder
2. Urinary tract infection
3. Benign prostatic hyperplasia
